The Malaysian eVISA is an online travel authorization that is issued by the government of Malaysia for visitors from eligible countries traveling to the country for tourism purposes. The eVISA was officially launched by the Malaysia Immigration Department in January 2016.
The eVISA is an online tourist visa application that saves you time: no visits to embassies or consulates; no endless and complex paperwork. The online process is very simple, more secure than traditional processes and allows you to have your approved eVISA ready before you embark on your trip.
The approved Malaysian eVISA is a Single-Entry Visa (SEV) and is valid to stay in Malaysia for a maximum of thirty (30) consecutive days. The eVISA is valid to enter Malaysia for three (3) months from the date it was approved.
To apply for an online Malaysian eVISA, applicants need the following:
.Passport valid for at least six (6) months
.Valid email address
.A credit/debit card
Citizens of the countries listed below are eligible for an eVISA for Malaysia, including China, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar.
Bangladesh | Bhutan | China | India | Montenegro |

Myanmar | Nepal | Pakistan | Serbia | Sri Lanka |
Your eVISA allows you to enter Malaysia via all gazette entry/exit points.
The standard processing time is one (1) business day once the application is complete and all additional documentation has been provided. However, note that in some cases processing may take up to three (3) business days.
Your eVISA will be sent via email once your application is approved. Print one (1) copy of the approved eVISA in A4 format either in color or in black and white. Make sure the printed copy is clear and legible.
You can apply for an eVISA once you have decided the date or have an estimated date for your trip to Malaysia.
If the applicant has more than one (1) nationality, he/she must choose a passport to use to fill out the application form. The same passport must then be used to travel to Malaysia. There cannot be any inconsistencies between the travel document and the information provided on the eVISA application.
Holders of an approved eVISA are only allowed to stay a maximum of thirty (30) consecutive days. As per guidelines from the Malaysian government, eVISAS cannot be extended. However, you can apply for another eVISA if you are traveling to Malaysia again.
Please remember to review and compare the details provided in the application form with the travel document. It is very important before submitting the application, as any small errors in the information provided can result in the application being rejected. In the event you have accidentally entered inaccurate information once the eVISA application form has been submitted, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
In the case that the dates of your trip change and your approved eVISA does not cover the period, you will need to apply for another eVISA. However, if the dates of your trip vary slightly, please contact us at [email protected].
In the rare event that a Malaysia eVISA is denied, you can contact us in order to process a full refund.
The application fee can be paid via credit card or debit card through our secure online payment system. All major payment methods are accepted. If you experience any issues, please reach us at [email protected]. Ensure that credit card details have been entered correctly and the card used is valid for online payments in order to avoid any problems during the payment stage.
Minors under 12 years of age must apply with a parent on a single eVISA application. Note that minors will also need a copy of their birth certificate to apply for an eVISA.
Please note that if your country does not appear on the lists above, you may not apply for an eVISA at this time. You will have to submit a traditional visa application at the nearest Malaysian embassy or consulate.
